YEMENI CLAY™ INTERIOR EMULSION PAINT
Yemeni Clay™: Kiln Blush, a warm terracotta softened by dust and shade.
It sits like sun-baked earth on the wall, a dusty rose pressed into warm brown. The pigment reads soft at first glance, then deepens where shadow gathers in the corner of a room. Run your eye along it and you catch the quiet grain of clay: coral in the cheeks of it, ochre at its root, a hint of weathered plaster where the light slips off. It has the warmth of a hand cupped around a hot cup, the hush of walls that have stood a long time.
In morning sun it lifts pink and open, the warmth leaning towards apricot against a white sash or the brass of a door handle. Under lamplight it settles into something quieter and older, a smoked rose with the weight of embers held at low.
It suits sitting rooms, hallways and bedrooms where you want warmth without heat, and it holds up handsomely in north-facing spaces that ask for colour with backbone. Pair it with unlacquered brass, cream linen, oiled oak and a chalky off-white like bone or soft limestone for a scheme that feels grounded and unhurried.
Crafted the Knuckles way. Water-based, low-VOC, and high-coverage, this interior emulsion is hand-mixed in small batches in the UK. Rich pigment sits in a silky matt finish that wears softly over time.
Expect twelve square metres per litre over two coats. Try an A6 sample on your wall before committing to a full tin.
