SOLARIS™ INTERIOR EMULSION PAINT
Solaris™: Burnt Honey, a slow amber that hums in low light.
This colour sits in the warm half of the spectrum, a deep amber-gold with the character of aged brass and wild honey. It carries enough pigment to feel dense rather than sweet, reading closer to ochre under steady light and softening toward caramel as the day cools. Run a finger across a finished wall and the matt surface seems to hold the warmth, giving the room a low, grounded glow. There is nothing sharp about it, only the slow depth of something poured rather than painted.
In morning sun, it brightens into a clear, resinous gold, almost glassy at the edges where light catches it. Under lamplight, the same wall deepens into a smoked amber, closer to aged leather and pressed tobacco.
It suits rooms that already want warmth: dining rooms, snugs, panelled studies, and north-facing sitting rooms that flatten under cool greys. Pair it with oiled oak, aged brass, a soft chalky off-white, and a deep forest green for weight without heaviness.
Crafted the Knuckles way. A water-based, low-VOC, high-coverage interior emulsion, hand-mixed in small batches in the UK. Rich in pigment, it dries to a silky matt finish that holds the colour's depth without glare.
Coverage is approximately twelve square metres per litre, with two coats recommended for full depth. Try an A6 sample on the wall before committing, and live with it across a full day of light.
