Potter's Kiln™: warm clay rose, a softly smouldering ember.

A warm, muted clay rose that sits between terracotta and dusty pink, the shade you find on the cooling side of a freshly fired pot. It carries the pinkish undertone of Pompeian plaster and the soft chalkiness of unglazed earthenware, with just enough grey in it to keep it grown-up. The surface reads dusty and sun-warmed, like brick that has held the afternoon a little too long.

In morning light it leans powdery and peach-tinted; through the afternoon it settles into a deeper baked clay. Under lamplight it turns to a soft-roasted rose, holding its warmth without tipping into orange.

It suits snug sitting rooms, hallways with hard floors, and bedrooms that want embrace rather than drama. Pair it with aged brass, oiled oak, cream linen, and an inky blue-black on joinery for a room that feels lived-in rather than decorated.

Crafted the Knuckles way. A water-based, low-VOC, high-coverage interior emulsion, hand-mixed in small batches in the UK, with rich pigment and a silky matt finish that reads deeply and without glare.

Twelve square metres per litre, two coats for an even finish, and an A6 hand-painted sample is available if you want to live with it on your wall first.
