Mooring™: deep marine grey, a cool, composed shade poured from harbours at first light.

This is a weighted, low-saturation grey with a quiet drift toward blue, like slate wetted by rain or the hull of a working boat seen against pewter cloud. The colour holds its depth in low light and softens into a dove-toned shadow where it meets pale trim. It reads as a grown-up grey, serious without feeling severe, sitting somewhere between charcoal and storm.

In morning light it shows its cooler, oceanic undertone; by afternoon it settles into a calm, even mid-grey. Under lamplight and candles the blue recedes and it warms into a soft, inky pewter.

Mooring suits snugs, studies, panelled halls and north-facing living rooms. It pairs well with warmer Knuckles whites and off-whites, brushed brass, unlacquered oak, cream linen, and aged leather.

Crafted the Knuckles way. A water-based, low-VOC, high-coverage interior emulsion, hand-mixed in small batches in the UK. Rich pigment loads give a silky matt finish that reads deeply and without glare.
