Nightingale rests in the quiet ground between mushroom, pebble and weathered driftwood. It carries a whisper of rose beneath the surface and a trace of smoke across its shoulders, the sort of tone that feels like cashmere against bare walls and smells faintly of old paper and wood fires.

In morning daylight the colour lifts and cools, reading almost like river stone washed by rain. As the afternoon turns, Nightingale warms into something honeyed and slow, and by lamplight the walls glow with toffee and amber, wrapping the room in the hush of a candlelit supper.

At home in sitting rooms, snugs, bedrooms and hallway panelling, Nightingale pairs kindly with deep forest greens, inky navies and muted terracottas. It sits beside brass, aged oak and tumbled limestone with ease, and lets linen, antique rugs and ceramic lamps take centre stage.

Crafted the Knuckles way. A water-based, low-VOC, high-coverage interior emulsion, hand-mixed in small batches here in the UK. Rich in pigment and finished with a silky matt surface that reads deeply, evenly and without glare.
