DORRIS WHITE™ INTERIOR EMULSION PAINT
Dorris White™: a cool, chalky white with the hush of cold porcelain.
Dorris sits in the quietest corner of the white family, a soft and powdery off-white with the faintest cool, green-grey undertone. It reads like fresh linen pulled from the line on a damp morning, or the inside of an antique teacup held up to the window. There is no cream in it, no buttery warmth; only stillness and light.
In bright daylight Dorris looks crisp and airy, almost frosted, with its cool undertone giving walls a composed, architectural calm. As the light drops and lamps take over, the chalky quality comes forward and the colour warms just a fraction, settling into a softer, more intimate hush.
It suits north-facing rooms that want a clean, unsweetened backdrop, and flatters hallways, bathrooms and bedrooms where a restrained palette is wanted. Pair it with pale oak, worn brass and bone-coloured linen for a quiet scheme, or press it against a deep olive, slate or ink-blue trim for a sharper, more graphic contrast.
Crafted the Knuckles way. Dorris White is a water-based, low-VOC interior emulsion with a high pigment load and a silky matt finish. It is hand-mixed in small batches in the UK, formulated for generous coverage and a flat, non-reflective surface that lets the colour do the talking.
Coverage runs at around 12 m² per litre, and two coats will see most walls through. If you are not sure, order an A6 sample pot first and live with Dorris on your wall for a day or two before committing.
