Dancis sits in the corner of the blue family where grey and teal quietly meet. It is a dusky mid-tone that carries the weight of wet slate, the salt-bleached flank of a fishing boat, and the first blue of a cloudy dawn. It is grounded, cool, and unmistakably architectural.

In daylight, Dancis leans into its slate-blue character, reading as a sober mid-tone with a soft green whisper. Under lamplight it warms a touch, softening into a smoky teal that feels lived-in rather than loud.

Dancis handles panelling, north-facing living rooms, snug home offices, and period-style bathrooms with equal composure. It pairs cleanly with off-whites like oyster and bone, warms against aged brass and walnut, and holds its own beside deeper inky navies.

Crafted the Knuckles way: a water-based, low-VOC, high-coverage interior emulsion hand-mixed in small batches in the UK. A high pigment load gives Dancis its silky matt finish and full colour saturation from the very first roll.

Coverage is around 12 m² per litre and two coats are recommended for a level, uniform finish. Order an A6 sample pot first so you can live with the colour on your own walls before committing to a full tin.
