CANYON CLAY™ INTERIOR EMULSION PAINT
Canyon Clay™: a sun-warmed clay interior emulsion with the soft, blushing weight of bare adobe at golden hour.
Canyon Clay is a powdery pink-terracotta that sits between dusty rose and unfired adobe. On a sample card it reads as clay warmed by long afternoon light: peachy in the highlights, faintly russet in the shadow, with a chalky pink undertone that keeps it grounded rather than sweet. Within the Knuckles range, it lands as the softest of the terracotta-leaning shades, named for the pink-brown bluff stone of canyon country whose dust holds the same powdery warmth.
In bright daylight, Canyon Clay lifts towards blush, the colour of fresh plaster catching late morning sun. As the afternoon settles, the terracotta undertone deepens and the walls read as warm sandstone, sun-baked and quiet. Under lamplight, it draws inward to a soft amber clay, glowing low and skin-warm in the corners.
It suits bedrooms, sitting rooms, hallways, dining rooms, and quiet snugs where you want softness without going pastel. Pair it with chalk-white trim, raw oak, aged brass, deep olive green on joinery, and unbleached linen.
Crafted the Knuckles way: a high-pigment, ultra-durable interior emulsion with Class 1 wet scrub resistance and an ultra-low VOC content of less than 1g/l. The finish is a chalky flat matt, the kind of surface that reads like fresh plaster in good light. Every tin is mixed to order in Great Britain, vegan-friendly and eco-conscious, with no shortcuts taken on pigment load.
One litre covers approximately 14m². Touch dry in 2 hours, recoat after 4. Two coats recommended for the full depth of colour. Order a hand-painted sample first so you can live with Canyon Clay on your own wall, in your own light, before you commit to the tin. A clay tone that warms a room without weighting it.
