In bright daylight Beryl Mint reads cool and aquatic: a poised, almost coastal green that lifts plaster mouldings and bounces light off white woodwork. As evening draws in, it settles into a softer eau-de-Nil, deeper and more painterly, the way an old conservatory greens at dusk.
